Dennis Prager is Pro-Choice

From about 2008 to 2014 I was the ultimate Dennis Prager fan.  I had read his first five books and listened to all three hours of his radio show every day for years.  A while ago I posted a video by Theodore Shoebat where he compiles a bunch of pro-homosexuality statements by Prager while he was being interviewed by homosexual Dave Rubin.

This was complete compromise on Prager’s part.  It would have been inspiring for him to stand up to Rubin and tell him that this was a dark path that only leads to death.  Instead he asked Rubin how he met the man that he refers to as his husband.

About a year ago I remember asking a young lady what she would do if one of her friends came out as a homosexual.  This young lady is from Eastern Europe and a member of the Orthodox Church.  She said: “Allan, I would never be friends with those people.”  It’s funny that this young lady has the right answer while Prager is sprinkling a pinch of incense to Caesar.  Prager is publishing his rational Bible series but his reason seems to be going out the window.  Why didn’t Prager have the courage to stand up to Rubin and say something similar to what my friend did.  Think of all the people that keep silent on the issue that he could have inspired to speak up.

Yesterday I was talking with a friend and she mentioned that she had been listening to Dennis Prager a lot more.  Being the well read and well listened to former Prager fan that I am, I knew that I could get her to think twice about Prager.  This girl does a lot of pro-life activism.  I told her that Dennis Prager supported abortion rights in the first trimester.  A lot of people don’t know this because Prager usually talks about the morality of abortion.  Prager has the standard Republican position: It’s wrong but it should be legal.

Prager writes:

I believe that, alongside public efforts at discouraging them, first-trimester abortions should remain legal-despite my belief that the great majority of abortions are not morally right.  In other words, while I support its legality, I’m ambivalent about abortion.

– Dennis Prager, Think a Second Time, pages 67-68

There you have it.  One of America’s finest conservatives and promoters of “Judeo-Christian values” is pro-choice.  This is one of the reasons that I renounced the label of “conservative” a while back.  I’ve never understood the whole “Judea-Christian values” stuff either.  Taylor Marshall says that Catholics shouldn’t use that word and he couldn’t be more correct.  To be honest, Evangelicals should follow this advice as well.  Here are some Bible verses to think of next time when you listen to Dennis Prager.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

– Ephesians 5:6

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

– Colossians 2:8

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

– Matthew 7:15
