I have long planned on doing YouTube videos. I kept putting it off and off and off until I realized I just needed to start. I kept on planning but then I just decided to contact someone to get an initial interview in. I called Sam Shamoun who I’ve talked to before. I wanted to talk to Shamoun because he’s a pioneer in the field of Islamic apologetics. He’s been arguing against Islam for over 20 years.

Is Justinian to Blame For Islam?
by
I’ve made it one of my goals to read all of the available sources on the Romans, Persians, Arabs, and Muslims between 500 and 900 AD. I’ve also made it my goal to read the primary sources and stay away from what modern historians say. What was the relationship between the Roman Christians and the Arabs before and after Muhammad? There is certainly a lot to say.

When Muslim Apologists Were Actually Muslim
by
I’ve got to give credit to Brigham Young University. They have a good Arabic program and from this program they have something called the Islamic Translation Series. Medieval Islamic Arabic works are translated into English. The publication produces a parallel Arabic text and much commentary. It’s actually a very well done set of books. I certainly plan on buying more though they’re not the cheapest books around.

Muhammad vs. The Romans
by
After Mecca had fallen to the Muslims, Allah “revealed” Surah 9:29 to Muhammad. What does Muhammad do at this point? He rallies 30,000 men and marches them north of Medina to Tabuk in an attempt to engage the Romans. The Romans didn’t send an army to engage Muhammad. According to Ibn Kathir, they stayed there 20 days then went back to Medina. Ibn Kathir actually has a good summary of his events in his section on Surah 9:29.
Calling All Trad Catholic Writers – Infiltration is a Stepping Stone
by
Taylor Marshall’s book Infiltration is tearing it up. He’s appeared on many podcasts for interviews and the book is making the rounds. Not long ago I published a review of the book. While I certainly enjoyed the book, it kept me wanting more. It seemed that every chapter was only scraping the surface. So much more could have been written and I’m sure Taylor Marshall could have done more if he wanted.
Arius and Muhammad vs. Modern Heretics
by
When one studies 2,000 years of church history, there will certainly be a lot of heretics and heresies. Many Fathers and Doctors of the Church have written collections of polemics against the multiple heretical groups of the day. For example, we have Irenaeus of Lyons, Epiphanius of Salamis, and John of Damascus just to name a few. They’ve all written collections of polemics against certain heresies. Other saints have written extensively against one or a couple different heresies. Saint Augustine is a good example with his works against the Donatists and the Pelagians.
An Open Letter to Steve of Triablogue: Why I Stay Catholic
by
I follow several Protestant blogs. Some of them are quite anti-Catholic, including one called Triablogue which seems to be run by a guy named Steve. Now, of the anti-Catholic Protestants blogs out there, they all seem to attack the Church from different angles. Steve seems to like to constantly beat the drum of modernism in the church. With Taylor Marshall’s book out(which I reviewed on my last post), he naturally used this as an opportunity to bring up the liberal and sodomite control of large portions of the Church.
Hilaire Belloc Saw What I Saw!
by
The book that I’m currently finishing off is called The Crisis of Civilization by the great 20th century Catholic writer Hilaire Belloc. I’ve read a few books of his before. In fact, in my recommended reading list, I have his book How the Reformation Happened. This book has a similar theme, but there is something more.
