In the morning I had to take care of some business downtown. When I was finished I was walking back and noticed some LDS missionaries. Downtown is pretty empty on the weekends so when I saw them I knew that I’d be able to get a conversation going.

The Impressive Venerable Bede
by
I love English Catholicism. The writings of Aelred of Rievaulx have always been spiritually comforting. However, English Catholicism predates him by centuries. I had read some of the commentaries of Venerable Bede before but reading his Ecclesiastical History of the English People was a true delight.
Questions Starting With Arius
by
A friend of mine called me up during the week. He was coming to Calgary for a conference and his accommodation plans fell through so he asked if he could stay in my spare bedroom. His plans were to arrive Thursday evening and leave Sunday morning. That gave us three evenings together.
“Born Again” Experiences
by
I research a lot of Jewish apologetics so I usually watch whatever Jews for Judaism puts out. A man who does videos for them recently put out a video of his conversion testimony which you can see above. In the above video at 7:40 he talks about going from Catholic to Evangelical and having a “born again” experience. He essentially describes it as an indescribable feeling.
Book Review: Reclaiming Faith: Inclusion, Grace, and Tolerance by Michael Coren
by
Let’s just get this over with shall we? Michael Coren’s new book is out. It’s titled Reclaiming Faith: Inclusion, Grace, and Tolerance. It’s not really a book in the same fashion as his last book, Epiphany. It’s a collection of his articles from 2015 to 2019. Basically from shortly after his apostasy to the present.
Is Liberal Religion Attractive?
by
I’m currently finishing up Michael Coren’s new book which is entitled Reclaiming Faith: Inclusion, Grace, and Tolerance. Of course, it’s incorrectly titled because he doesn’t show any tolerance for people who hold the traditional position on marriage. I’m about 80% done the book. Expect a review here and based on what I’ve read so far, expect it to be just as bad as his last book. I’ll admit that I enjoyed shredding that book.
What Muhammad Forgot to Tell the Ummah
by
We’ve all heard of the perfectly preserved Quran, right? Millions of Muslims around the world memorize the Quran which hasn’t been changed since the time when Muhammad received it from Allah, right? We’ve all heard the argument and recently I got into a debate with a Muslim on Twitter regarding this issue.
Rules For Retrogrades and a New Interview
by
Timothy Gordon has joined up with his brother David and their friend Chris Plance to start a new YouTube show called Rules for Retrogrades. The show has been on for less than a month and there is already 9 episodes. In other words, there is a lot of content and the topics range from the Amazon Synod to Catholic dating.
New Developments in the Orthodox Civil War
by
As many people know, last year I wrote about the civil war in the Orthodox Church between Moscow and Constantinople. This whole argument is whether or not the Ukrainian Church will be autonomous or will be subject to Moscow. The Primate of the new Ukrainian Church is Epiphanius, while the head of the Ukrainian Church in communion with Moscow is Metropolitan Onufriy.
An Eventful Weekend

The church that my friend got married in this weekend had some pretty impressive relics! pic.twitter.com/IbBNE2Obxr

A couple months ago my good friend and former roommate got engaged. Not long after that, he asked me to be his best man. I was very honoured and agreed. He got married this weekend and I couldn’t be happier for him and his bride.
