God Judging Jerusalem
I recently read a great column by Canadian Pro-Life apologist Jonathan Van Maren who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting on several occasions. He has also recently published a book that I will be reviewing on the blog. The column from Van Maren can be found here:

It basically exposes how Michael Coren is extremely fake. I have written about Coren before and have reviewed his most recent book on my blog. It’s been painful watching what has happened to this man.
Why did Coren fall so hard? It only started out with the issue of homosexuality and within 18 months he was a full blown leftist. He still claims to be Christian but let’s face it, if Coren is a Christian I might as well be a Jain.
If you look at countries like China and India where Christianity has only existed as a minority, they aren’t anywhere close to legalizing homosexual “marriage” or anything beyond that such as these ridiculous bathroom bills. If you look on Wikipedia, you will find that every single country with homosexual “marriage” is a former Catholic or Protestant country. You can actually say that they all former Catholic countries since those Protestant countries were once Catholic with the exception of the United States of America, Canada and South Africa.
Why do they have this abomination in their laws? The reason is simple: God is judging these countries. They have received so much light through the ages and rejected it flat on its face. They have had Christian culture, the Scriptures and the Gospel. Countries like China, India and Pakistan have never rejected Christianity because they have never been Christian countries, yet they don’t have homosexual “marriage” in their midst.
Pakistan is a Muslim country, India is a Hindu country and China is an atheist country. None of them are close to legalizing any abominations. God is being more gentle with them because they haven’t rejected the truth.
With Christianity spreading like wildfire in Africa, it is ironic that the only African country to recognize homosexual “marriage” is South Africa. The country with the most Western influence is the only country in Africa with sodomite “marriage” in the legal code. Again, this is the judgment of God. In the Old Testament God would judge Israel by different standards than other nations. The reason is because they had light and the knowledge of God.
Looking at the career of Michael Coren is like looking at the West in the last 50 years, only in fast forward. It went from being close to God to total apostasy. God will continue to pour out his judgment ultimately until we turn back to Him. It might be a long time but with the judgment we’re receiving, it might be sooner than we think.
