Tawheed and Mutah in Asia Minor

St. Paul The Apostle

Most Muslim apologists will take the Ehrman approach to the writings of the New Testament.  Because of the influence of Ehrman and others, Muslims will say that St. Paul only wrote half of what is attributed to him.  Now, Muslims won’t take the content of these seven letters to heart.  St. Paul is an arch-heretic to them as he destroyed the Islamic religion of Jesus Christ and the apostles.

Now, one of the most famous epistles of St. Paul is his letter to the churches in Galatia.  This is actually the book that I read the most.  Whenever I’m at a friends or in a hotel or have a Bible fall into my possession I always read Galatians.  I know this letter very very well.

What St. Paul is doing in this epistle is he’s attacking this huge heresy head on.  In fact, this heresy is so widespread that the letter is addressed to multiple churches as it shows in the introduction.  Now, if St. Paul is the one who buried Islam in the first century, why don’t we have any record of him arguing against Islam.  Why don’t we have him attacking Tawheed, Mutah, or the Injeel.

According to the book of Matthew and 1 Corinthians, Jesus Christ and St. Paul have the same view on marriage.  Now, according to Islam, the view in Matthew 19 must be corrupted since Jesus being a good Muslim would have to believe in multiple wives and Mutah.  Mutah is a temporary marriage where there is a marriage for a few hours so intercourse can take place without it being fornication.

Also, while St. Paul is certainly a monotheist as Galatians 3:20 shows, there is no place where he attacks Tawheed.  Christians believe that Tawheed does to monotheism what Mutah does it marriage. In other words, it’s a perversion.  According to the doctrine of Tawheed, Allah has two right hands, a shin and other body parts.

The entire book of Galatians is a refutation of a non-Islamic sect.  The false Galatian teachers are saying that the gentiles have to convert to the OT religion before converting to Christianity.  This isn’t what Islam teaches.  We have St. Paul refuting another false religion but not the Islam of Jesus and the apostles.

I suppose it’s possible that some of the letters of St. Paul have been lost.  Either that or he could have just condemned Islam orally while he wrote against other heresies.  I suppose it’s possible.

However, there is a much more likely possibility.  We don’t have records of Islam from St. Paul(or any other source until the 7th century) because Islam didn’t exist until Muhammad started preaching it.  That would explain how there is no evidence of Tawheed, Mutah, or the Injeel until Muhammad preaches about them.

To the Muslims who read this post:

I’m trying not be harsh in my condemnations.  In fact, I’m trying to be helpful.  Ramadan starts this weekend.  However, being the good guy that I am, I’ve saved you from fasting by showing you that Islam is false.  No need to thank me now; later is fine.  God bless.

  1. Hello Alan, I was a bit surprised when I read “According to the doctrine of Tawheed, Allah has two right hands, a shin and other body parts.”
Isn’t that unfair to Muslims and non-constructive? Or are you just trying to provoke them? It sounds a bit like a Muslim saying “According to the doctrine of Trinity, there are three Gods and one at the same time.”
The idea that Allah has “body parts” is called tajseem in Arabic, and English-speaking Muslims usually render it by “anthropomorphism”. It is quite true that Islam is infested with this disease, and that it constitutes an important case against Islam. It is also quite true that many Muslims fail to see the contradiction between their tajseem and their tahweed (=monotheism). But why pretend that tahweed means tajseem? There are in fact Muslims who do see the contradiction and denounce it.

  2. Allan,

Basically, Mutaah is forbidden in Islam. Mutaah is practiced only by the Shia, and for your information Sunni clans basically forbid Mutaah.

Mut’ah in Shia is largely attributed to the teachings of the Majusi who taught “free sex” to the believers. However, Shiites narrate that Imam Ar Ridha (Shia 8th Imam) states that Mut’ah is not lawful. So thats why people non-muslim can not take the teachings and group of shia representing Islam taught by prophet Muhammad. The real Islam is inside Sunni.

So, in conclusion, Mutaah is banned in Islam.

    Allan,
to know about God’s hand, you have to learn about definitions and differences between substance and nature. After that, you need to learn about the relationship of substance and nature to God. then only, you can meet the answer to your question (regarding god has hands)

    Allan,
really thank you for reminding us of that. InshaAllah we still believe in the truth of Islam.

    • Hey Insan,

Can you cite me a primary Sunni source that says Mutah is forbidden, such as Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Ishaq etc.

Regarding what you said about the difference between substance and nature, can you recommend a book to read on this. Unlike my first request, it doesn’t have to be primary, any book if fine, even if its modern.

      God bless,

      Allan

      • بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

      • Allan,
Friday’s greetings for Muslims and all of us including non-Muslim.

        Allan,
The purpose of the marriage is to have a child where we will teach according to the teachings of the religion that we do. This is very different from the Mut’ah marriage which for a period the husband divorce his wife because of Mut’ah’s agreement. marriage mut’ah has been eliminated and this marriage has no proper meaning and preserves the spouses with fullness and lives in joy and harmony.

Mutah was once permitted by Arab way of life before the Prophet Muhammad declared the ban on Mut’ah. Mut’ah’s marriage was canceled for several reasons:

        i. Contradicts the Qur’an 23: 5-7

ii. Mut’ah’s marriage permits to have a wife above 4. However polygamous truth is that a husband may have only 4 wives (Quran 4: 3). God knows more about the sexuality of men than women. That’s why polygamy can be implemented instead of Mutah.

iii. Mut’ah’s wife has no right in inheritance. It is thought to be abusive to the Mut’ah married women. For that reason, it is very contradictory to the Qur’anic verses relating to the inheritance of the property (Quran 4: 11-12)

iv. Mut’ah Nikah Iddah Law is only a month or two months. This is in conflict with the Iddah law which Allah has revealed in the Quran concerning the Iddah in the Quran (Quran 2: 228), Quran 65 (1: 4)

Allan, for further clarification, its good for you to read this….

iii. Book “The Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah” written by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Saleh Al-Uthaimin (have english translation)

        Insan
