What Muhammad Left Out

I recently re-watched one of my favorite debates which included David Wood and Zakir Hussain.  The debate took place many years ago and was called Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and the Covenant.  I remember being impressed with a lot of David Wood’s answers.  However, in re-watching the debate, I was a bit disappointed in something that David Wood did, or rather didn’t do.

What Would Luther Think About This?

I recently read this article about the decline of the mainline Protestant religion in Minnesota.  It also talked about the Catholic Church.  The three Protestant groups it mentions are the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the United Methodist Church, and the Presbyterian Church.

Medjugorje Just Won’t Leave Me Alone

A picture I took in Medjugorje

Last weekend I was in my hometown.  On Sunday, my mother and I went to the Byzantine Catholic Church as we usually do when I’m home.  The last thing I expected was for the priest to give an entire homily on the controversial and unapproved supposed Marian apparitions at Medjugorje, which is found in modern day Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Blog Numbers Since James White’s Webcast

In August of 2016 James White did a one hour piece responding to an article that I had written.  When this happened his fans swarmed my page.  I have to admit, I had my hands full responding to all of their criticisms but at the same time I really liked the amount of views that I was getting on my blog.

What Did the Early Muslim Empire Look Like?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRLFeldPG3Y

In 2014 when I was in Albania, I noticed something interesting.  While 60% of the Albanian people are Muslim, 10-15% of the people are Catholic and 10-15% belong to the Orthodox Church.  The Muslims are not religious in the slightest.  It seemed that the Christians were more devout.  Either way, I could tell the difference between the Orthodox and Catholic churches with ease.  They simply had different architecture.  The Catholic churches looked more like a Church one would find in Italy or France and the Orthodox Churches looked more like the churches that I had just seen in Serbia a few days prior.

What David Wood and Christopher Hitchens Have In Common

Last week was my birthday.  I had some people over for a party at my house and the topic of Islamicize Me came up.  Of course Islamicize Me is the mockumentary about Islam and the teachings of Muhammad produced by apologist David Wood.  I recently wrote a post on this series and my thoughts on it so I won’t go over that again.

My First Youtube Video

As one can gather from the title, I have published my first video on Youtube.  Yesterday my country turned 151 years old so there was a festival downtown.  I found out on Facebook that some Muslims were going to set up a dawah booth.  I thought that this was a good opportunity for some debate.  I took a little walk downtown and engaged them in debate.  How did I do?  Well, the viewers can look for themselves and make their conclusions but I want to share how I thought that I did.

Aisha’s Marriage to Muhammad – The Taboo Subject of Her Age

When Christians or Western Secularists deal with Western Muslims who give dawah, one common thing to do is to point out the fact that Muhammad had sex with Aisha when she was nine.  Some will call him a pedophile for doing that.  I want to assess this whole scenario.  I want to deal with this because recently a Christian and a Muslim who frequently comment on this blog had an argument surrounding this issue.  I want to give my take on it.

Dawah is a Battleship – Let’s Sink It

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBW2r8-abk

No country in the world uses battleships anymore.  You’re probably wondering why?  They’re expensive, slow and are sitting ducks for navy planes.  In the Russo-Japanese War(In which one of my ancestors fought in and was awarded the Cross of St. George) and World War I battleships were the way to go but now they’ve received an honorable burial.  In many ways, dawah is like a battleship.  It has extreme weaknesses.
