In case you’re not aware of Matthew Vines and what he does, he’s the founder and Executive Director of The Reformation Project. The Reformation Project is an organization that tries to get Churches to collapse on homosexuality and accept the “LGBTQ community” and agenda.
What’s interesting about Vines is that he became famous with a one hour YouTube video that he put online in 2012. He essentially goes over the six “clobber” passages and “refutes” them. The “clobber” passages are the six passages in the Bible that specifically prohibit homosexual acts. I’ve gone over a lot of the revisionist material on this issue. Every argument that Vines has brought forward has been shredded. Christian apologists have dealt with these arguments and buried them. They’re worthless arguments.
For the sake of argument, let’s assume that Vines is correct on the “clobber” passages. That at most proves homosexuality is allowed. Why is he then promoting the LGBTQ agenda which includes transgendered people? None of his arguments support these operations that supposedly change your gender; something that’s biologically impossible to do. Yet, Vines is promoting this stuff as if it’s been proven Biblically. I don’t remember him ever doing a speech on Scripture supporting this stuff. There aren’t any verses to prove this.
To make things worse, Vines has sunk to a new low and has succumbed fully to this acronym of sexual deviancy – LGBTQ. If you look at the Staff section of his website, it lists the staff members. It has a picture, a brief bio, and links to their Facebook and Twitter accounts. It has one more thing – pronouns. Yes, pronouns. I’m not even joking. See below.

Obviously in this twisted day and age we get to choose our own pronouns? Do we not? This is absolutely absurd. Has Vines ever tried to justify this from Scripture? Did Jesus, Mary, the disciples or any of the OT figures tell others what pronouns they want to be called? In case you’re wondering the answer is no. No one from Scripture engaged in this type of idiocy, not even the enemies of God in Scripture did this, yet Matthew Vines and his organization are making it part of what they promote.
I recently read Jordan Peterson’s book that just came out – 12 Rules For Life. Obviously it makes me happy that the most popular academic celebrity in the world is Canadian. Not only that, he’s from my province and we went to the same University for our undergraduate. His hometown is about a six hour drive from mine which in Canada is like being a next door neighbor since our country is so big and the population so small. What drove this young Canadian Prairie boy to fame? It was debating these stupid gender pronouns.
Gender expression and identity are now a human right in Canada thanks to the stupidity of our government. I don’t expect anything better from our government. However, someone who claims to believe in Christianity has absolutely no business handing out gender pronouns for other people to use. It just proves the insanity of Vines, his organization, and the bulk of the Western World.
