Every Wednesday I attend a meeting with a group of young adult Catholics in my city. It started out as a Bible study but we’ve done other things as well. Now we’re doing a book study. The book is Men, Women, and the Mystery of Love by Edward Sri. It’s based off the book Love and Responsibility by Pope John Paul II, though he wrote it long before he became Pope.
We started the book so we went over the first two chapters. The theme was about utilitarianism and how we exploit our fellow human beings as a means to an ends. There are obvious exploitative examples in the world but the book made us realize that a lot of us do it without knowing it. The book gives several examples that are eye opening.
The most obvious example of exploitation these last few days has been the young 16 year old autistic Swedish girl Greta Thunberg. This poor girl is being used by her parents and the oligarchs to promote pseudo-science and population control.
I brought up Greta Thunberg once the discussion started. One lady at the Bible study said that she had been to mass at the Cathedral a few hours ago and the priest who gave the homily had praised her to the skies.
I’ll come out and firmly say that I admire her zeal. I remember being 16 and thinking that I had all the answers to the world’s problems. It only got worse in University. Then you start your career, and realize that the world isn’t as simple as you once thought it was and become a lot less of an ideologue. I hope this happens with Thunberg. Her superiors will want to use her as much as they can to promote lies.
She’s being used as a human shield. She’s a sweet young autistic girl who cares about our world and if you attack her, you’re a big bad monster. If Al Gore made her speech, we can easily attack him, but we can’t attack her. This is extremely low and a form of child abuse. American Catholic commentator Michael Knowles tried to attack her and now everyone is up in arms at him for calling her mentally ill. She is autistic after all.
I care about Greta Thunberg. I have no bad feelings toward her at all. Because of this I urge her to liberate herself from these wicked adults and the globalist ideology that they promote. Greta Thunberg would do best to become a Catholic and enter a convent or monastery to become a nun. She has the zeal. It just needs to be channeled in the right area. She should be preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ instead of this nonsense. We should all pray for the liberation of Greta Thunberg and for the souls of the sick, twisted, demonic, and wicked people that are controlling, manipulating, and ruining her.
