I recently listened to a podcast from Catholic Answers where Peter Kreeft was a guest. For those who don’t know, Peter Kreeft is a Catholic convert from Calvinism and one of the greatest Philosophers of our day. Both Catholics and Protestants read his works and make good use of them. He is also heavily involved in the pro-life movement and has written books like The Unaborted Socrates. In other words, we have a lot to thank him for.

A Challenge for Islamic Apologists Regarding Islam Before Muhammad
by
Islam is the youngest out of all the major religions in the world, though it claims to be the oldest. Secular historians equate the founding of Islam with Muhammad. The Arab who claimed to be a Prophet in the line of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. According to Islam, the first man who ever lived, Adam, was a Muslim. Muhammad is simply the last in the line of Islamic Prophets according to the Quran and the Hadith.

When I talk to fellow Catholics, I often like to know where they stand on their faith. I throw out a standard question: Who is your favorite Pope in the last 200 years?

A Challenge to Islamic Apologists

The Quran claims to be the next and final revelation in the Abrahamic tradition. That is, the religion of Abraham, Moses, Elijah, John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. Unlike the New and Old Testament that we have today, the Quran was revealed to only one person over a 23 year period. Over those years, according to Islamic tradition Muhammad told his followers these revelations who then wrote them down or committed them to memory. Shortly after Muhammad’s death, the Muslim community got together and constructed a single Quran and this is the Quran read today. That’s at least how the official story relates it.

Being an honest religious person means that you can criticize your own side. Anyone who knows me in my personal life or even solely through this blog knows that I like film. As a person of faith, I want to admit that faith based films in recent years have been absolutely terrible. It’s gotten to the point that good faith based films are not even associated with the Christian film industry such as Silence or Hacksaw Ridge.
How Not to Talk to a Muslim
This frustrates me to no end

Recently a relative of mine was in Istanbul, Turkey for vacation. Despite having a devout Muslim leader, Turkey is known to be a less religious and more liberal Muslim country. This is especially true of the city of Istanbul which is probably the least religious city in Turkey. Regardless, we can reasonably say that the people of Istanbul are not Christian. Despite once being the “New Rome” and holding the second most authoritative bishopric in Christendom after Rome, modern Istanbul is not a Christian city in the least.
The Case for Christ
A Review
by
Happy Easter to all! Christ our Lord is risen today! The resurrection of Jesus Christ is something that is the topic of the recent Pure Flix movie The Case for Christ. It’s the story of former atheist Lee Strobel and his investigation into the death and resurrection of Jesus. It’s based of his book The Case for Christ. This book was the second apologetics book that I’ve ever read after Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and it helped start me on my apologetics journey. I actually got the book free when the Evangelical group Campus Crusade for Christ was handing them out for free during my University days.
Altering Your Mind to Think Like a Christian

In Western society, we are brainwashed. We are taught that good is evil and evil is good. Over the last three years, I have spent long hours studying and realizing that the post-enlightenment Western world is demonic. I now oppose modern Western values with all my soul.
Dr. Gavin Ashenden, the Church of England, and Equality

Pope Pius X clearly articulated in his Pontificate in the early 1900’s that modernism was the greatest heresy. He was correct, essentially because modernism is a war on objective truth. While some religions have been affected more than others, every religion has been effected. One of the worst is the Church of England. This has caused Senior Anglican Clergyman Gavin Ashenden to leave this group.

The reason that I didn’t do a review of the movie Silence several months ago, is because that movie is very disturbing. It haunted me for quite a while. I probably should have known this since I read the book several years ago.
