Historically the West has always been firmly opposed to Islam. This is because of the strong Christian Tradition of the West. Unfortunately, the strength of the faith in the West is a mere shadow of its former self. I’ve never met a Western convert to Islam before but there are Western converts. Having reflected on the arguments for Islam and Christianity, I find the arguments for Islam to be overall very weak. The Islamic sources show a very poor understanding of the two religions that it’s trying to usurp.

James White vs. Zakir Hussain on the Crucifixion
by
So here is what happened. Dr. James White recently debated British Muslim apologist Zakir Hussain on whether or not Jesus was crucified. Zakir Hussain clearly won this debate. He didn’t win because his arguments were good, in fact, they were the exact opposite. They were arguments that were on par with Matthew Vines arguments for the Biblical blessing of homosexual relationships. They were that bad.
Muhammad, Islam, and the Church
by
Catholics and Protestants agree on a lot of things but at the same time we disagree on a lot of things. One is the interpretation of Matthew 16:18. The KJV reads:
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Has anyone ever wondered as to what the Islamic interpretation is regarding this verse? Muslims believe that Jesus is a Prophet so they have to believe in what he says, including this verse.
Responding to Paul Williams on Acts 2:22

Hello everyone! I just came back from vacation and am now ready to resume posting my apologetic material. I will post some pictures and video soon for all too see. Recently my attention has been drawn to Islamic Apologist Paul Williams. He has been making short apologetics videos. Paul, if you’re listening, I must admit that I really like your videos. They’re well done, high quality and give a good indication of what Christians can expect from top Islamic apologists. Naturally, I expected Bart Ehrman to be quoted quite a bit. However, as a Christian I encourage you to make more of these videos.
Anglicanism and History
by
The year 2017 is the 500th anniversary of what is called the Reformation. One Church that emerged from the Reformation was the Anglican Church. Of all the traditional forms of Protestantism, I loathe Anglicanism the most. I feel this way because the Anglican religion was founded on lies and theft.
James White is Wrong About Islam
by
Dr. James White has often said that Islam is a U-turn. In other words, it steps down from the high revelation of Jesus Christ and takes the Abrahamic tradition back several steps. I couldn’t disagree more. This U-turn statement gives Islam more credit than it deserves. If one looks at the revelation from the OT to the NT, one sees a smooth fulfillment. Does Islam go back to the OT?
Scholasticism and the Russian Language
by
I’m a student of the Russian language. A few days ago I was in a class and my teacher explained a concept. It was a tough concept and I wanted to understand it perfectly. I simply kept asking questions one after another. I wanted to make sure that I understood the semantic domain of the words when this rule is used and if there were any exceptions to this rule. After several minutes, looking flustered, she looked up at me and said: “Why are you asking so many questions?”
Happy Canada Day: Patriotism and Catholicism
by
Happy Canada Day! To my non-Canadian readers, let me inform you that today is Canada Day; the anniversary of the birth of our nation, similar to what July 4 is to Americans. Today, Canada turns 150 years old. This may seem impressive but in the end does it really matter? Although I am a tax paying citizen of Canada, my earthly citizenship is far less relevant compared to my eternal citizenship. I’m also a member of the Catholic Church, an organization that has existed since the New Testament and will continue to exist until the end of time. Canada can’t beat that.
The Benedict Option by Rod Dreher
A Review
by
Western civilization will soon collapse. Rod Dreher gives us a brilliant way out that we all should at least consider. In his book, The Benedict Option, Dreher holds St. Benedict up as a prime example of how modern believers can form lasting institutions that can survive the impending collapse of the West and help remake the West post-collapse.
The Catholic Soul of England
by
England is a very interesting country. It is a nation who’s Empire once spanned the globe and spread English values to the farthest reaches of the Earth. I live in Canada which was founded as an English colony. The country also has a very rich Catholic history. If you were to visit England 500 years ago, you would have seen about 900 religious houses throughout the country. These included monasteries, abbeys, priories, convents, friaries, and other religious houses. The religious life was by no means restricted to the clergy. They played a large role in the life, culture, and economy of England. What happened to this rich Catholic monastic life?
