The Theological Roots of Martin Luther

As someone who specializes in church history, there are two events that I focus my attention on.  The rise of Protestantism and the rise of Islam.  The Greek-Latin(Sometimes called East-West Schism though I refuse to call it that) separation is interesting but I think the reasons why it happened are pretty clear.  What caused Islam?  What caused Protestantism?  In this post I will be discussing Protestantism, specifically Martin Luther.

Will the Real Saladin Please Stand Up!

Remember not that long ago when Notre Dame caught fire?  Some Muslims were saying that the evil crusaders prayed there before they went to kill a bunch of innocent Muslims.  I thought about this very hard.  Which crusade?  During the first two crusades, Notre Dame didn’t exist.  During the later crusades it was under construction so I didn’t know how true this statement was.  Did they pray at the church that was under construction?  I hate vague accusations.  Michael Brown tried to do this with me during the fall of 2017.  I should also point out that if buildings become worthless because bad people prayed there, then half the religious structures in the Christian or Islamic world probably shouldn’t exist.  Some bad people prayed at this church so it deserves to be burned down?  Talk about a lack of logic.

What Adnan Rashid Needs to Know About the Trinity

The Trinity occupied a large part of the recent debate between James White and Adnan Rashid.  At about the four minute mark of the above video, Rashid is talking about the Trinity.  He mentions that it took 400 years to clearly define the doctrine.  He’s correct, it did.  He then says that this is a huge problem.  It’s actually not a problem at all.  I’m going to give Adnan Rashid a lesson in Church history on how doctrines are defined using other examples.

The Judas Doll in Poland

As everyone knows I was in Europe in the summer and spent two days in Poland.  Poland is known to be a very Christian country.  I found out recently that Poland has officially declared that Jesus Christ is their king.  I later found out that the part of the country that I was in was the most religious area.  I do have to admit, I was impressed.

St. Cyril of Jerusalem and Muhammad’s Trinity Blunder

St. Cyril of Jerusalem

I have often spoken about Muhammad’s Trinity blunder in Surah 5.  In this surah in verses 73, 75, and 116 we see that Muhammad thought that the Trinity was Allah, Jesus and Mary instead of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Conversion Story of Jacob Williams to Islam

I was sent a conversion story about a young Englishman named Jacob Williams.  He converted to Islam and he shares the reason why in First Things Magazine.  He’s also quite fond of Western culture.  There used to be a guy on Twitter named the Muslim Traditionalist.  I don’t think he’s been active for a while but he was an interesting fellow.  He’s a fan a Joseph de Maistre.  Jacob Williams might very well be as well.

Benedict the Abdicator and Homosexual Clergy

Ex-Pope Benedict

A couple of days ago, former Pope Benedict XVI came out with an essay on the crisis of clerical abuse in the Church.  It makes one wonder why he’s doing this as an ex-Pope and not when he actually was one.  The essay can be found here:

Jussie Smollett and the New Renaissance

A couple of days ago, Empire actor and monumental fraud Jussie Smollett was cleared of all charges.  In the most unbelievable act, Smollett had all 16 charges dropped.  They kept his bail money and told him that he had to do community service which is an obvious sign that he’s guilty.

Erdogan and the Hagia Sophia

The Hagia Sophia
A Christian Church turned into a Mosque by Muslims, turned into a Museum by Masons.

In the wake of the horrible events in New Zealand, Turkish President Recep Erdogan has dabbled in the idea of reopening the historic Cathedral/Mosque/Museum known as the Hagia Sophia as a mosque.  This has recently been blocked by Turkish courts so it appears that Erdogan is just rattling his sabre here.
