Benedict the Abdicator and Homosexual Clergy

Ex-Pope Benedict

A couple of days ago, former Pope Benedict XVI came out with an essay on the crisis of clerical abuse in the Church.  It makes one wonder why he’s doing this as an ex-Pope and not when he actually was one.  The essay can be found here:

Karim Al-Hanifi and French Apologetics

The English language is not the only Western language in which Islamic dawah is being conducted.  There is of course the French language.  Millions of Muslims live in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.  In North Africa in countries like Morocco and Algeria, French is widely spoken.  Being a Canadian who grew up speaking French, I can also help the French speaking regions fend off dawah efforts.

Eucharist vs Hajj

I just finished reading a book called The Mass of the Early Christians by Mike Aquilina.  I read the book in two sittings and I’m not a fast reader.  It’s a book that documents the history of the Christian practice of the Eucharist.  As someone who values history, it is important to look at the history of such a sacred Christian practice.  Every group that calls themselves Christian takes part in this ritual in one manner or another.

Muhammad is the First Among 10,000….or 150?

Buraq – The Flying Donkey of the Night Journey

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of shredding the supposed prophecy of Muhammad in Song of Solomon 5:16.  I’ve already shown that the spelling isn’t correct, the beloved drinks wine in verse 1, and that Muhammad never met the daughters of Jerusalem.  This is all before even getting into the context of the book.

The Best Christian Theologians to Read

My icon of St. Athanasius of Alexandria

People who know me personally often ask what theologians to read.  Obviously there are many good Christian theologians throughout the 2,000 years of the Christian faith.  I’ve always said that 1,000 to 1,300 AD was the golden age of Christianity.  While I still stand by that, there have been great thinkers throughout the history of the Church.

China Defeats the Pope! Imagine if Henry IV Were Alive Today!

October 9, 1958 was a very sad day for the Catholic Church.  It was the day that Pope Pius XII died.  Toward the end of October 1958, Pope John XXIII was elected and things have only gone downhill from there in terms of the Papacy.  Whoever thought that communism ended in 1991 wasn’t paying attention as over a billion Chinese citizens are still subject to it.

The Decline of Faith Goldy

I remember about five or six years ago when Faith Goldy came on the scene.  As a Catholic, I was happy to see a young, attractive, articulate and traditional Catholic standing up for the faith in a our extremely secular country.  She eventually started working for The Rebel Media where she gained further fame.  She even went to Iraq to cover the genocide of Christians happening over there.

Musings on Nationalism

In 2014 I was on a trip to Europe.  I only spent two days in Serbia, but I really loved it there.  I’m definitely going to go back.   I was particularly attracted to the anti-Western mentality that they had there.  One thing that I noticed was the religiosity.  Serbia is a deeply religious country.  They are part of the Eastern Orthodox communion and the Orthodox faith forms an integral part of their society.  It’s pretty impressive.  I wish all Catholic countries were this observant.

Psalm 22, James White, and Islam

I started studying apologetics in depth in 2008.  Of course, I had been studying Scripture, Christianity, and Church history prior to that.  The interesting thing is that I didn’t start my apologetics with Islam.  I mainly dealt with non-Trinitarian cultic 19th century groups such as the Two by Two’s(Google them), Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Eventually I got interested in Old Testament Prophecy so that led me to study the Jewish objections to Jesus.  I encountered the work of people like Rabbi Tovia Singer, Jews for Judaism and others.
