Three Problems With Surah 5

If I were to encourage Christians to read one Surah of the Quran, I would suggest Surah 5.  It’s one of the last chapters revealed and really does damage to Islam.  If Muhammad had died a few years earlier before Surah 5 was “revealed” then it would have saved Islam a lot of trouble.  I’m going to point out the three most damaging things to Islam in this Surah.  There are more!  Surah 5 is certainly a bag of goodies, but here are the top 3.

David Wood Hits a Home Run: The 99-1 Rule!

David Wood has come up with a brilliant concept to describe the method of most major dawah figures in the world today.  It’s called the 99-1 rule.  It basically goes like this.  A Muslim in a position of authority will preach total nonsense.  Say there were 100 Muslims in the audience; about 99 of them will take it on faith, while one person will look it up and find the truth.  The one doesn’t matter because the 99 can shout down the 1.  Problem solved.  I now see this method employed to an amazingly large degree.

Thoughts on a Recent Episode of Street Apologist Featuring Vocab Malone and Jeff Kran

Apologist Vocab Malone recently had a livestream with Jeff Kran.  They were dealing with genealogical objections from Jewish apologists.  I don’t want to comment on that but I do want to talk about one thing that they brought up at the beginning.

The Rabbis vs the Prophets

Aaron – The High Priest of the Old Testament Religion of the Mosaic Covenant

Many people wonder why I deal with Judaism as much as I do.  For one, they’re not in Christ, but also because Muslims very uncritically use their apologetics.  I’ve seen many Muslims share videos from Tovia Singer and Michael Skobac without realizing the implications of quoting these people.  I therefore have to deal with them, specifically their apologetics.

The Next Phase of Christian Apologetics: The Attack on Tawheed

When David Wood debated Mohammed Hijab, he brought up the anthropomorphic nature of the Muslim god Allah which can be found in the Quran but mostly in the Hadith.  Mohammed Hijab didn’t know what do with it.  He responded to a few things, misrepresented others, and dodged others.  He was unaware that Muslims scholars had taught this as he asked Wood to provide Muslim scholars who believed this.

The Real Story of Hanukkah

Judas Maccabeus

Many people say that Hanukkah is the Jewish Christmas.  I suppose for secular Jews it essentially has become that but for religious Jews it has a deeper meaning.  What is that deeper meaning?  Tomorrow Jews around the world will begin celebrating this holiday.  What is it about and where did it come from?

The IHRA Definition of Antisemitism is Fraudulent

It’s been about a month since the shooting at the Pittsburgh synagogue.  After that happened a friend of mine on social media wrote a post and said that the biggest antisemitism is saying that we shouldn’t preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Jews.  She said it in a very respectful way but that didn’t matter.  Many Jews swarmed her page.  The word antisemitic was thrown around multiple times.  This one Jewess was viciously attacking me.  Her arguments were so ridiculous that I just started calling her an antisemite because I simply stopped caring at that point.

The End of Rabbi Tovia Singer

In the early 1990’s Dr. Michael Brown and Rabbi Tovia Singer debated on the radio.  The debate didn’t end well for Rabbi Singer and therefore he never mentions it.  You can’t find it anywhere on his website.  Now, Dr. Brown makes the debate available on his website.  This is a clear testimony to who won the debate.  Why would you try to hide it if you had won?  Rabbi Singer makes all of his other debates available.

Judaism, Zionism, the Temple, and Apologetics

I was recently watching a YouTube video.  It was an apologetics lecture given by a prominent Orthodox Jewish Rabbi.  In the question and answer period someone in the audience asked if they should accept support from Evangelicals who are hardcore Zionists.  A legitimate question for the Jewish community I suppose.  He said to accept their support but don’t go to events put on by CUFI and similar groups.  He said that the state of Israel is there because God wants it to be there.  I can only laugh at some statements.

Refuting Faiz on the “Missing Books” in the Bible

The first time I encountered Faiz online I thought he was an atheist.  This is because of the double standards that he uses.  For example, he keeps saying that we have no first century manuscripts of the NT.  He’s correct, we don’t.  No first century book or document has first century manuscripts.
